Our story

Central Teweh Trading takes its name from Muara Teweh, a town in the heart of Central Kalimantan, Indonesia, surrounded by some of the world’s richest tropical forests. It is where our co-founder grew up, where her family has deep roots, and where PT Joloy Mosak, our anchor supply partner, has been producing premium hardwoods for years.

Today, she operates from New York City. The forests here are different — glass, steel, and concrete instead of Meranti and Keruing — but the connection to Kalimantan never left.

Central Teweh Trading was founded on a simple belief: the U.S. market deserves access to the quality of timber Indonesia has long produced, and Indonesian suppliers deserve a partner who understands where that wood comes from — not just as a commodity, but as a place.

Responsible forestry matters to us. We believe quality hardwood should come with long-term stewardship, including responsible harvesting and replanting practices that help preserve these forests for future generations.

We are a bridge between two worlds. Rooted in Kalimantan. Operating from New York.
